sales & design consultant

Onyx Studio is looking for an ambitious, detail oriented, industry professional to fill a Sales + Design position. Ideally, this seasoned sales expert has 2+ years of sales related experience & an eye for design. This all encompassing role includes but is not limited to: building & maintaining client relations inside & outside the studio, becoming a tile expert, managing projects from selection through completion, showroom upkeep and administrative needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product knowledge of 20+ vendors offering tile & stone products. This includes but is not limited to: technical data in regard to applications, standard & special installation guidelines as well as pricing, stock availability, & lead times, while staying current with new product launches & pricing.

  • Read & comprehend Architectural Plans and complete take-offs using online software.

  • Host selection meetings with the Trade (Designer, Architect, Builder, Installer) or End-user (homeowner) to assist in product selection and design, documenting and detailing selections, provide technical data for material application, grout selections, and layouts.

  • Establishing & maintaining individual projects within our online team platforms which are utilized for project management communication of building & tracking estimates, vendor communications, purchase orders, freight quotes and tracking processes.

  • Visit job sites for field measurements & installation overview, determine specific details required for basic or complicated applications with contractor, owner, or installer.

  • Tracking samples/boards offered for specification, showroom upkeep, studio merchandising needs, and selection of appropriate displays for this market.

  • Delivering and Picking up samples from client offices.

  • Meet Contractor Bid Requests and/or delivery deadlines based on finish schedules.

  • Software: Google Workspace, Quickbooks Online, TeamWork, and Square Take-off (Bluebeam/Revu/Revit is a Bonus.)

  • Receive and inspect UPS/FEDEX and LTL shipments delivered to the studio - as needed.

  • Follow Onyx Studio policies and procedures.

SCHEDULE
Onyx Studio showroom hours are M - F, 9am to 5pm, and by appointment only on the weekends.

Job Type: Full-time in studio. This role is not for remote seeking applicants at this time.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

Compensation Package:

  • Pay: $55,000K - $100,000K +

  • Bonus opportunities

  • Commission pay

  • Commission eligible after 6 months based on performance. Then ‘Sky’s the Limit’
